Apple Cider Cranberry Sauce

So I made this sauce for Fox 19  this morning.

Cranberry sauce is a holiday staple, that is likely at every table this year! Whether you're hosting and just showing up to Christmas dinner this clean, homemade Apple Cider Cranberry Sauce will be a sure hit! Not mention this recipe is super easy and can be made several days ahead of time!!

This recipe for cranberry sauce is clean and uses no preservatives or chemicals. Apple Cider Cranberry Sauce will be a hit this year!!

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Apple Cider
1 Bag Whole Cranberries (about 12 oz)
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Tablespoon Lemon Extract
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan add Apple cider and brown sugar whisk together until combined.
2. Heat on medium heat and add rinsed cranberries, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
3. Cook until liquid begins to boil and cranberries begin to pop (literally, they'll pop). Once they begin to split reduce heat to a simmer.
4. With a nonstick spatula gently stir sauce, continue to simmer until sauce thickens and turns a deep maroon color.
5. While stirring sauce you can begin to thin out cranberries that are still whole or leave them!
6. Let cool and pour into an airtight container. I typically use a glass mason jar with a resealable lid and refrigerate.

**this can be made ahead and stored for several days**

Stay hungry my friends...
